I have a passion for decorating, shopping flea markets, garage sales, and crafting. I have browsed and "creeped" many blogs and discover that I have something to share. So after weeks of trying to decide how to get a blog started I am finally here. I'm still learning about the technololgy part (not my strong suit)but I hope to post many pictures of my house before and after, my antique booth, and my ideas on decorating and crafting. I believe everyone deserves to live in a beautiful space and not break the budget to get it!! Looking forward to your feedback, talk to you soon.

Open for Business!!!

Hi guys, I am now officially open for business in my new space at the Mid Cities Antique Mall in Hurst. I wasn't supposed to move in until August but the space was available so I took advantage and moved in over the weekend.  I still have a lot to do but I got a great start on loading everything in.
Notice the walls are made of old wooden doors that my husband found.  It really adds a touch of
"shabby chic" and serves as a space divider.  He's very handy like that.
The old farm table and matching 4 chairs is real find.  Perfect for a breakfast nook.  It looks wonderful with the cabinet. Take them both home.
I bought the 2 slipper chairs at a garage sale and my husband reupolstered them. I think they go perfectly with the barrel shaded lamp.
There's "Dolly" in the corner.  I have searched everywhere for an antique dress form that I can afford.  She's not an antique but I love her anyway. (she is for sale too)  The old kitchen cabinet and hutch was kept in a barn for the last 50 years, it cleaned up real nicely.  Notice the built in flour sifter on the left.

This is a repurposed end table.  I painted and distressed it first.  Changed the knobs and added fabric and stenciling to make it unique.  The picture doesn't do it justice, you must see it.

So if you get a chance, get out of the sizzling oven that is our weather, come by and browse the Mall.
