I have a passion for decorating, shopping flea markets, garage sales, and crafting. I have browsed and "creeped" many blogs and discover that I have something to share. So after weeks of trying to decide how to get a blog started I am finally here. I'm still learning about the technololgy part (not my strong suit)but I hope to post many pictures of my house before and after, my antique booth, and my ideas on decorating and crafting. I believe everyone deserves to live in a beautiful space and not break the budget to get it!! Looking forward to your feedback, talk to you soon.

This is my house. I found it in 1997 while garage sale shopping. The owner was putting a sign in the yard as I drove by "For Sale or Lease" I stopped and wrote down the phone number. At the time I lived just a couple of miles away in a 6 year old tract home that we built in 1991. It was perfectly fine for us and no one was more surprised that I was calling about this other house than my husband. It turns out that the house was a rental for the past 11 years and the owner was selling "as is". When we went to see it my husband wanted to turn and run, it was so so bad. But most of it was cosmetic, gross shag carpeting, ugly peeling wallpaper, brown paneling etc. I could see it just needed some TLC. Besides it was a great bargain and twice the size of our tract home and my son would be in the same school. So we bought it. The funniest thing about this story is that I bought this house shopping garage sales and this house had no garage!! It was a detached two story garage that had burned to the ground 3 years earlier and all that was left was the slab and rubble. So I guess not all cosmetic. :) Notice the new garage we built in the second picture, the city would not allow us to go two story again, some kind of ordinance or something. ugh. I threw in the snow covered house hoping to feel a little cooler on this 100 degree day! :)
