Welcome

I have a passion for decorating, shopping flea markets, garage sales, and crafting. I have browsed and "creeped" many blogs and discover that I have something to share. So after weeks of trying to decide how to get a blog started I am finally here. I'm still learning about the technololgy part (not my strong suit)but I hope to post many pictures of my house before and after, my antique booth, and my ideas on decorating and crafting. I believe everyone deserves to live in a beautiful space and not break the budget to get it!! Looking forward to your feedback, talk to you soon.

Before and Afters

Here a few pictures of some projects that I worked on this summer.  I love Before and After's hope you do too.

This is the big wall in my son and daughter-in-laws house.  I bought the clock about a year ago, and although its really huge it just wasn't enough.  Sherree asked for my opinion, (that's all I needed) I always want to decorate but would never push my style on her.  She has good tastes and likes the mix and match mod podge decorations more than just one big painting or something traditional like that. so here is what we came up with together.

Before

After
These were very inexpensive items that mostly are connected by color.  She went with the black/white/red color sceme.  The frames are very inexpensive at Wal Mart and inside we used decorative craft papers and old wall paper.

Now all we have to do is find a cover for that 25 year old recliner that my son treasures!! :)

I love chairs, especially "singles" I found this one at a garage sale.  It's in great condition but I wanted to spruce it up a bit.

This is a paper mache' letter that I bought to decorate my daughter's dorm room. (it reminds me of Lavergne and Shirley tee hee)  I painted it and then decoupaged tissue paper and drew on designs that complimented her bedding. It was very easy and cheap!

This is a piece that I bought from Goodwill a few years ago.  I painted it then but it needed more so I added a few swirlies.

This vintage rocker is just like the one my grandmother had.  I think this one was in a barn for the last 20 years though! Gross!! My husband reupolstered it and I gave it a fresh coat of paint.  Looks so cute if I do say so myself. :)  This is for sale in my booth "Nell Rose Place" in the Mid Cities Antique Mall in Hurst.

Just a cute picture of my son and his wife.
Everyone have a great week!!
