I have a passion for decorating, shopping flea markets, garage sales, and crafting. I have browsed and "creeped" many blogs and discover that I have something to share. So after weeks of trying to decide how to get a blog started I am finally here. I'm still learning about the technololgy part (not my strong suit)but I hope to post many pictures of my house before and after, my antique booth, and my ideas on decorating and crafting. I believe everyone deserves to live in a beautiful space and not break the budget to get it!! Looking forward to your feedback, talk to you soon.

Before and Afters

I purchased this side table at Goodwill years ago.  I painted the vines on it back in the 90's and they had to go.  What to do?? Decoupage!!  I used scrapbooking pages to cover the top and just left the rest crackle painted.  It looks like new!

Here is the final product.

Awe what a beauty!! I got this at auction and thought it looked old fashioned.

Here is the "after" .  So much better don't you think!  It's already sold, the lady is going to use it to hold her TV and all the components hidden away in the drawers.  So clever!

I bought this piece from my friend Val.  She has the best junk!

I am keeping this one for my master bedroom.   I have to, I sold the furniture that was there!

I bought this nice little desk from GW.  It is in great shape except not really pretty.

Finished and in my booth.  Surprise, not white.  I love this taupe/grey color.  PS that is not a possum in the cage, it's a wooden rabbit. :)
I love looking at before and after pictures.  I hope you enjoyed mine.  I wanted to share some of the projects that I have been working on.  I am getting super busy since my pieces are selling quickly, I am busting my booty to keep my booths stocked.

till next time

The Old Barn Saga

The barn is gone!!  3 full weekends of hard labor, mostly by Joe but I was there picking up trash wood and loading good wood on the trailer, a very important job!!

Notice the old bed springs!!  I will use this to decorate one of my booths. I might clean it off just a little!  Rusty metal rules!

Look at Lindsey.  She thinks we crazy!!!

here is the trash, unfortunately lots of rotten wood on this old barn.

only some of the "good" wood.  It is getting stored in my garage right now. Sheesh!!

Here is what Joe has built with reclaimed wood.  This whole unit was almost free except for the posts and paint.  The baskets were extra and cost more than the whole unit at $30 each.

Let the projects begin! Stay tuned!
