I have a passion for decorating, shopping flea markets, garage sales, and crafting. I have browsed and "creeped" many blogs and discover that I have something to share. So after weeks of trying to decide how to get a blog started I am finally here. I'm still learning about the technololgy part (not my strong suit)but I hope to post many pictures of my house before and after, my antique booth, and my ideas on decorating and crafting. I believe everyone deserves to live in a beautiful space and not break the budget to get it!! Looking forward to your feedback, talk to you soon.

Interesting items seen at estate sales and antique stores

I see alot of junk when I go to sales, junk shops, and flea markets.  My favorite things are the things that are a little bit different bordering on weird.  Here are some pictures that I took shopping.  I like picture blogs hope you do too. :)
Fabulous rusted, really rusted old scale with turquois needle.

Creepy babydoll!! always naked too!!

The Last Supper end table. Cool

Rusty metal display rack with rusty metal tin cans, a tackle box and pots! Rust is the new black!!

Vintage globe.  Neutral colors are very nice.

Silver and silverplated dishes and the fun fun bingo cards in a bundle. :)

Another creepy babydoll.  AHHHH!

Weird junker guy with thug hat and chains, he looks so familiar???? (love that chair)

This one is downright scary!!  Get tucked in with this "Chucky" and you wish you had a boogie man.

I saw these hanging behind a bedroom door at an estate sale in Irving.  Their faces were exactly the same level as mine hanging there just looking right in my eyes!! I gasped then hurried out of there but then came back because it was so interesting that someone actually wore these with their finest dresses.  Eyeballs, tails, feet and claws all there.  EWE!!        (Oh they are fox furs in case you didn't know.)

Tomorrow is Friday, I have a few sales to hit, I'll keep my camera ready in case I spy more interesting (weird and creepy) items.

Until next time YOLO!!  Gwen

So much junk, so little time!

I found a few good items at estate sales in the past couple of weeks. It's hard to tell but the tall silver thing is a mirror

This junk just makes me so happy.  It seems that I am drawn to boxes and trunks lately.  the black one is a drum case, so cool from my friend, Junker Val's store. Love the aqua window frame, I salvaged that from our 100 year old barn demo. It was in the rubble.

Oh my!! More trunks and boxes.  These were from an estate sale near my house.  It was a house full of great stuff.  My favorite is the military suitcase labeled James Griggs with a California address printed on the front.  So cool. I should google that guy, he might be wondering where his suitcase is.  He can't have it back!

Fishing anyone??  This rusted tackle box is cool and full of fishing stuff.  I don't know!!

Another cedar box, this one has cutest feet.

This little vanity was a find at my favorite Thrift Store.  I'll post after paint and distressing pictures later.

It's always a good day when the little vanity at the thrift store has all original hardware and it's so beautiful!

Now I have to get busy cleaning, painting and merchandising all of my great junk!! Until next time....
